Fine Art Finger Painting

I finger paint acrylic onto canvas. I don’t use brushes or other tools in the traditional arts painting approach. They make me feel disconnected from my work and hinder my creative energy flow to the canvas. The paint’s own texture, viscosity and volume at the time of each stroke influences the outcome as it rolls off my finger and hands onto the canvas to be fixed in place on the final artwork.

My paintings span landscape, seascape, animals, people, florals and abstracts as subject matter.  I strive to create a strong sense of painting style that no mater the subject matter the art appreciation community may be able to recognize my work by my method and style of finger painting.  This approach allows me the full artistic creative freedom to explore new subjects and further develop my painting technique. My work is shown monthly at the Meyer & Dial Reality offices located in the Short North as well as at other locations throughout Columbus, Worthington, Dublin and in the Polaris area.

Feb 18 - Mar 24, 2012 - OHIOCENTRIC - City Center Gallery - OSU's Urban Sapce at 50 W Town St.  Opening Reception Feb 18th 6-8pm.  In honor of the Columbus Bicentennial the gallery is featuring 51 artists, whose workd collectively create a momentary snapshot of Ohio's unquie artistic reflection.  See press release.
