Thurber House presents Evenings with Authors: Joanne Harris - "The Girl with No Shadow"

Presented by Thurber House
4/28/2008
Joanne Harris, author of New York Times bestseller "Chocolat", which was made into a Oscar-nominated film, will read from her eagerly-anticipated sequel, "The Girl with No Shadow", a dazzling urban fairy tale set in Paris five years after "Chocolat". Vianne has learned to conform, but at what price? She has given up her mother's magic, her identity, and has even given up making chocolates, that is until the charismatic Zozie de l'Alba, the wearer of the 'lollipop' shoes, blows into town on the Day of the Dead. Soon it becomes clear that behind the charismatic façade there lies a cold and malevolent being; her ultimate goal - possession. Harris is the author of several novels including "Blackberry Wine", "Holy Fools" and "The French Kitchen: A Cookbook".

Price
