Once Upon a Dime: The World of Money

12/27/2007 - 4/1/2008
Do you want to teach your kids to pinch pennies while saving a couple bucks yourself? Now through April 1, the Ohio Historical Center is offering a free child's admission with every paid adult's admission in conjunction with their new exhibit, Once Upon A Dime: The World of Money, presented by JPMorgan Chase and organized by The Newark Museum. It's an engaging experience for the entire family with special appeal to kids ages 5-9. With Digital Diva, a spunky, cartoon docent, travel through time to follow the story of money from barter to digital dollars. Become an inspector and discover how governments around the world have developed anti-counterfeiting measures, and explore ways to spend, save, and invest money. Once Upon a Dime introduces children to good money management techniques in a fun, interactive way. Parents and children can design their own money, play trading and bartering games plus enjoy other fun activities like searching the museum for the Inflation Monster or taking part in a living math equation.
