Taking Shelter and Exact Imagination, two exhibitions

Taking Shelter features photographs, videos, installations, sculptures and social interventions that address adequate shelter, the definition of a home and homeless populations. Participating artists include Eric Araujo, Jonathan Calm, Anthony Hernandez, Patrick Killoran, McCallum & Tarry, Jackie Sumell, and Herman Wallace. The exhibition, through April 5, is curated by James Voorhies, director of exhibitions at CCAD, and independent curator Michele Snyder. Media sponsor is WWCD 101.1 FM.
Exact Imagination, also curated by James Voorhies, examines factors that affect our experience and knowledge about art. Installations, sculptures, videos, photographs and paintings are designed to encourage discussions about the aesthetic response to art. Participating artists include BANK, Andrea Fraser, Gaylen Gerber, David Ireland, Christian Jankowski, Louise Lawler, N55, David Ording, and Red76. Exhibition runs through April 5.
