Drawing for Beginners with Janet Waggoner

Thursday, November 13, at 7 pm. Unlock the hidden artist in you! Artist Janet Waggoner teaches you how to break objects down into simple parts so that you can accurately draw them.
Adults and children will enjoy learning to draw basic shapes and shading techniques.
For adults and students grades 3 & up. To register, call 486-2951 beginning Tuesday, October 28. Instruction/materials fee: $8. Class minimum: 10, class maximum: 15.
A native Ohioan, Janet graduated from Lorain High School and Baldwin-Wallace College. She has taught in three Ohio school systems and now lives in Westerville. Currently, Janet is a board member of the Worthington Area Art League, and she has served as president in the past. She is a member of the Westerville Art league and the Central Ohio Watercolor Society.
Her paintings of the Ohio Bicentennial Barns appeared on 19 phonebook covers around the state. Her painting of the Ohio State Capital was featured on the 2003 holiday card for Governor Taft's staff. Recent commissions include Velvet Ice Cream's Ye Old Mill which appeared on their cards and packaging, the Burton Morgan center at Denison University and the Granville Inn.
Janet's paintings can be seen on www.KathysCareCards.com, cards created by Kathy Boston R.N. to fill the void between "Get Well" and "Sympathy" cards for victims & survivors of cancer and other terminal illnesses. Janet, along with other artists, donated original artwork for the cards.
