ARTS IN WORK SPACES: Features Works by Artists of Terra Gallery

7/8/2008 - 9/30/2008
The Upper Arlington Cultural Arts Division is pleased to announce work by artists of Terra Gallery on view through Arts in Work Spaces from July through September 2008. A creative art partnership program with Upper Arlington businesses, Arts in Works Spaces is on view at the Caspian II building, 3518 Riverside Drive and now also at National Church Residences located at 2335 North Bank Drive.

Through a variety of media, artists of Terra Gallery simplify and exaggerate form, color and material in order to select and abstract from the world around them. With diverse representation of artists, Terra Gallery promotes each represented artist in order to "enrich the culture of the community and strengthen its relationship to others." Terra Gallery, located in the heart of the Short North Arts District of Columbus, Ohio on High Street, features contemporary drawing, painting, and sculpture by emerging and established artists. It is designed to facilitate the introduction and development of artists' work in its exhibition space, while maximizing each artist's national and international exposure with an online gallery. A variety of services are also available for collectors, interior designers, and corporate clients.

A long-range goal of the Cultural Arts Commission is to increase the accessibility of the arts for the community. An art-lending program, Arts in Work Spaces, gives artists another opportunity for displaying their work, increasing the visibility of the Cultural Arts Commission within the City of UA, and fostering an appreciation for the arts among businesses and their clients. For more information about participating in the Arts in Work Spaces program and/or purchasing art contact the Cultural Arts Division.
