Life after death was one of the primary cultural beliefs through thousands of years of Egyptian civilization. The ancient Egyptians regarded death as an enemy which could be overcome with luck and proper preparation. To Live Forever draws on important ancient Egyptian objects of beauty and signficance from the superb collection of the Brooklyn Museum to illustrate this fascinating culture's strategies for defeating death and living forever. This exhibition of more than 100 works includes some of the greatest materpieces of the Egyptian artistic tradition. This exhibition is organized by the Brooklyn Museum.
