The Jazz & Rib Fest is one of the most anticipated downtown events in Columbus and the Midwest. The tantalizing aroma of ribs on the grill mixed with cool jazz makes a combination that is undeniably delicious. This year, the Arena District will provide a new exciting venue to celebrate 30 years of the event's signature elements-hot ribs and cool jazz.
2009 Event Highlights:
-Two stages will host the best in local, national and international jazz artists. Past performances have included David Sanborn, Dianne Reeves, Sypro Gyra, Tito Puente, Ramsey Lewis and Diane Schuur.
-22 rib-burners representing 10 states and Canada will compete for "best ribs" bragging rights.
-New-North Bank Pavilion, a stunning glass structure that will host the hospitality suite and rib judging.
-New-The Jazz Café, a water-side venue that will showcase intimate performances set against the picturesque city skyline.
-As always-Admission to the event is free!
