Thurber House's Literary Picnics Series: P. L. Gaus

After recently retiring as a professor of chemistry at The College of Wooster and co-authoring a best-selling senior text book, Paul L. Gaus decided to take a new direction with his writing. He is now the author of a popular series of mystery novels set in Holmes County, Ohio. He will read from his sixth and latest book in the Ohio Amish Mystery series, Separate from the World, a spellbinder that explores the rift between two Amish factions in the wake of a murder and suicide. Gaus lives in Wooster, Ohio, and lectures widely about Amish culture.

Guests are asked to bring their own blankets or lawn chairs for seating. Parking is free after 6 p.m. at the meters on Jefferson Avenue. The neighboring rain site is State Auto Insurance, 518 E. Broad St.
