New York Times bestselling author Rita Mae Brown is the author of numerous books, including the popular Sister Jane Foxhunting mysteries, the Mrs. Murphy mystery series (co-written with her tiger cat, Sneaky Pie), her first memoir Rita Will, and the acclaimed Rubyfruit Jungle. She will read from her second memoir, Animal Magnetism: My Life with Creatures Great and Small. Brown shares the lessons she's learned, as well as her deep appreciation for the steady parade of all manner of two- and four-legged critters that have flown into and through her world. She is also an Emmy-nominated screenwriter and poet, and lives in Afton, Virginia.
