ROY G BIV Gallery is proud to present ImageOHIO11, our annual showcase of Ohio's best photography and video art at Fort Hayes Shot Tower Gallery from Monday, January 10 - Friday, February 11, 2011. ImageOHIO11 was juried by Linde Brady. ImageOHIO11 will feature the following artists:
Matt Carissimi, Leigh Fouts, Lori Gum, Kari Gunter-Seymour, Marcella Hackbardt, Adam Hinterlang, Helen Hoffelt, Matthew Johns, Jonathan Johnson, Lori Kella, Daniel King, Ray Klimek, Jessica Larva, Michael Loderstedt, Fredrik Marsh, Daniel McInnis, Ardine Nelson, Alyssa Petrosky, Francis Schanberger, Kate Shannon, Luke Snailham, Emily Strouse, Stephen Takacs, Doug Taylor, Danielle Thomas, and Ryan Walters
The opening reception will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2011 from 6 - 8pm.
The snow date for the reception is Thursday, January 27, 2011 from 6 - 8pm.
Justin Luna, the gallery director of ROY G BIV, will give an Directors' Talk on Friday, January 14 at 130pm. A few of the artists will present an Artists' Talk on Friday, February 11 at 130pm. Admission to all events is free and open to the public.
The Shot Tower Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 4 pm and is located on the campus of Fort Hayes Metropolitan Education Center at 546 Jack Gibbs Blvd., Columbus, Ohio 43215.
About the juror:
Linde Brady
Linde Brady is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison currently writing her dissertation on the work of American photographer Paul Outerbridge. Her research interests include American and European modernism with emphasis on the politics of mu- seum display, race and gender identity, and mass advertising culture. She also specializes in the history of photography, and contemporary art and theory. Her M.A. thesis was entitled "Cabinets of Wonder, Objects of Critique: The Museums of Fred Wilson and Mark Dion." She received her B.A. in art history from the University of Chicago.
