Sare' "Unpredictables" at Cultural Arts Center to Aug. 11

An Exhibition of amusing, satirical and sadly ironic oil paintings and ink drawings by French artist Sare fills the Cultural Arts Center's Main Hall Gallery with grotesque characters now through August 11. Each of her pieces, due to a sharp observation of reality, is precisely described with a psychological sense and a unique personality, and saturated by a multitude of reminiscences in the extensive time and space of European culture. She uses subtle pastel tones, transparent washes of paint with a slight nuance of color, and refinement of drawing to comment on ambition, love, sex, money, friendship and religion.
